And I agree about Twilight. I have when people tell me that they never liked the series, when I remember them raving about it! The Fae Chronicles are more like erotic new adult.. Both books are really hard to understand.. The Divine Comedy was written in archaic Italian, then translated to English and it was so hard to interpret. Once you get into the mind frame, it flows a little easier but it's just really hard to read honestly. As for the Republic, it was a little easier to understand, although written around 400BC Classical Age Greece. His philosophy for the most part was really idealist though. He believed in universal good and evil, as well as utopian societies. It was a fairly good read, but not practical for our time frame. I've never read Ulysses, but I've heard they are very similar. Good luck if you do give them a try! Almost everyone I know loved Twilight at one point or another, and not one of them will admit it now! haha It did a lot for the paranormal genre of books, bringing it into the spotlight for other great authors to excel. I probably wouldn't ever read it again, but it was an important novel in its time!
